1st day of work.
and i mean real work.
like work work.
im finally free from the evil clutches of
T.C.G!
hahahahahaa!
whot-tha-fook?
LOLS!
anyways,
i got my ID CARD.
meaning, im like OFFICIALLY
a SWISSOTEL MERHANT COURT STAFF!
and i got my fabulous nametag!
its silver and shiny and blitz and glam and all that!
and i dont know for you guys,
(particularly to chefs-wannabe)
but i HATE!
and i mean i reallllyyyyyyy HATE
wrokign with a tall hat.
yes its like the charcoal hat.
weird ehh??!
im just a trainee leys,
why the super the over the top kinda hat?
evertime when i enter the walk-in chiller or freezer,
it comes off,why? cos im to tall.
HAHAHAHHA.
everytime i bend down,
definitely it will hit something for sure when i look up.
as i was saying,
the first thing when i came in the kitchen,
she (my pastry chefs a woman btw!)introduced me to the kitchen staff.
well there was only one,
so with her, karen and me,
it makes 3.
how cool is that?
ONLY 3 per shift :D
and karen is pregnant!
BUT,she walks and works much faster than me!
seriously.
so i plated the NYONYA KUEHS,
which were so colourful and tempting
on a plate.
for both dinner and lunch.
then i was taught how to do
what Swissotel is popularly known for,
PENGAT DURIAN!
hahahahaha!
but really, its nice leys.
so i did 30kg of them and omg,
i had a headache laaaaa!
the smell was.OH LALALALAS!
sufiyan would have been dead.TRUST ME.
then i did BISCOTTIS.
and they were so crispy and nutty.
its used for their creme brulee.
then i made SUNRISE TOMATO BREAD.
it totally looks like our EC bread,
just in the shape of WALNUT BREAD.
and thenn,
i rolled out some sweet dough for what i heard is for
"sweetdogs"
dont ask me what isit cos i dont know yaaaawww.
and by then i knock off already :)
and the chef said,
"tomorrow i will teach you how to deco the cakes,
ok? bye2 see you tomorrow then"
OMMFFFFGGG.
im so lucky to be working in this hotel.
i dont think other hotel would give you that much
oppurtunities.
and next week im doing set up for lunch and dinner buffet.
by myself.
they trust me.
OHHHHH BY THA WAYYYY.
the staff meal is like.
OMGG.
eating the buffet in SAKURA INTERNATIONAL BUFFET?
and they canteen
is AIR CONDITIONED
and have a FLAT SCREEN T-VEEEEEEEEEEEE!
OMGG.
